Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash Closes Oracle Road Near Biosphere 2 Science Campus in Southern Arizona

Arizona Department of Public Safety said the collision happened around 5:15 a.m. near the entrance to the Biosphere 2 science campus.
Troopers said the highway is completely blocked, and there is no estimated time for reopening.
Crash Details
According to DPS, one person died at the scene in one of the vehicles involved. That person was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The other vehicle had an occupant who was taken to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Highway Shut Down
The crash is affecting a stretch of Oracle Road in Pima County, just north of Tucson near a major regional destination. Because the roadway is fully blocked, drivers in the area should expect delays and use alternate routes.
DPS has not released any additional details about what led to the collision.
