Three People Killed and Four Injured in Two-Car Crash Near Victorville in San Bernardino County on a Two-Lane Road

The crash happened just before 8 p.m. in Pinon Hills near the intersection of Palmdale Road and Minero Road.
Crash scene details
Officials said seven people were inside the two vehicles when they crashed on the two-lane road. One person was trapped in a vehicle and had to be pulled out by rescuers before being taken to the hospital.
Victims taken by helicopter
Two emergency helicopters airlifted four people from the scene. That group included three people with life-threatening injuries and one person whose injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Three died at scene
Three people were pronounced dead at the crash site. Their identities were not immediately released, and authorities did not say how the victims were distributed between the two cars.
Cause still under review
Fire officials said it was not yet clear what led to the collision. Investigators were still reviewing the circumstances surrounding the crash on the rural roadway.
