Olvia Rodrigo released her second studio album, GUTS in September of 2023. She is now on the GUTS World Tour and has announced that she will release a deluxe version of this album called, GUTS (spilled) on March 22, 2024.
Fans are so excited to hear the new songs and songs hidden on different exclusive vinyls sold at Target. These songs were a surprise to the fans when they bought the vinyl and every different version of vinyl had a different surprise song. There are a total of 5 new songs on the album and they have quickly become very popular among the fandom. The new songs are, “obsessed”, “girl i’ve always been”, “scared of my guitar”, “stranger”, and “so american”.
These songs quickly became fan favorites of the album. While the originals are well-loved and listened to, the new ones have a different sense of raw emotion that is not always seen in popular songs. While the previously released songs also have this feeling, artists always hold back the best they have for last. The way that Rodrigo writes her lyrics makes it seem like she is letting out every detail of her life without ruining her privacy and making it relatable to people all around the world. The emotion that she portrays in her songs is illustrated through her tone of voice and is almost audible when you hear her songs.
Along with this, GUTS (Spilled), included Rodrigo’s very first love song that she has written for a studio album. Her past love songs have been for TV shows and “so american” is about her current relationship with Louis Partridge, a famous actor from England. Fans are over the moon for Rodrigo and her relationship. They are excited for more love songs to come! During Rodrigo’s tour, she has been singing “obsessed” as a special edition since it was not released yet. But now that it is released on streaming platforms fan are excited to see whether or not more songs from the deluxe will be added to the setlist. Overall, it is needless to say that people are obsessed with this new version of GUTS.
