Huskies Hustle Up the Court for Senior Night
On January 24th, the boys’ basketball team held their senior night to honor seniors Nkrumah Davis-Sears and Josiah Saldana for their last home game. The Huskies played against the Poly Bears and, unfortunately, lost 45-54.
To entertain students before the exhilarating game, USL sponsored a tailgate with a Carl’s Jr. and churro stand. The tailgate began at 4:30 and lasted until 6:30. Students were able to get free food from Carl’s Jr. and the churro stand located outside of the gymnasium if they had their student ID and North shirt.
Following the Huskies’ defeat, they played against the Hart Indians and Elsinore Tigers. The Huskies won against the Indians 56-53 and the Tigers 57-50. The Huskies hold a current league record of 2-5, with hopes to win another to proceed into CIF.
