California Highway Patrol Seeks Missing 6-Year-Old Girl From Huntington Park After April 21 Disappearance Near Los Angeles

HUNTINGTON PARK, CA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help finding a 6-year-old girl who has been missing from Los Angeles County for nearly a month. Camila Ontiveros Martos was last seen around 4:30 p.m. on April 21 near California and Grand avenues in Huntington Park, just south of downtown Los Angeles.

Search Focus Turns To Suspect

According to the California Highway Patrol, Camila was with 35-year-old Joel Olivas when she was last seen. Officials did not identify their relationship, but they described Olivas as a suspect in her disappearance.

The California Highway Patrol issued an Endangered Missing Person Advisory on Tuesday across five Southern California counties. The alert widened the search as investigators continued trying to locate both Camila and Olivas.

Child And Suspect Descriptions

Camila was described as 4 feet 5 inches tall and about 50 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Olivas was described as 6 feet tall, about 137 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who has information about either person’s whereabouts is being urged to call 911. Authorities have not said publicly how long Camila may have been missing beyond the April 21 sighting date.
