5 ways to stay busy at home

Being stuck at home is awful and the Netflix shows are running out. Here are a few tips on how to keep busy and to make sure you’re having fun doing so. Keep an open mind and maybe you’ll find something that you truly love to do!

Get in the kitchen
There is nothing like a good home-cooked meal. Whether you’re already an expert in the kitchen or just beginning, this quarantine has been the perfect time to start learning how to cook up a few dishes. Try different things. Maybe one day work on baking sweets and the next try breakfast foods. If you want to do something a little more advanced try making dinner for the family.

Invest in self-care
Take a few days out of the week and just work on your mental and physical health. Maybe read some books, meditate, light a few candles or just throw on a refreshing face mask! It is important that you get that time for yourself during these strange times. If you see others feeling overwhelmed, try to help them and encourage them to put aside some time for themselves as well.

Work out
Being cooped up in the house can get very repetitive and boring. So let’s change up the pace and do a short workout in the comfort of your bedroom! Go on TikTok or YouTube and pull up some of your favorite work out influencers. If you don’t have any workout influencers don’t worry. You can always try out Chloe Ting or Natacha Océane on YouTube.

Keeping in touch
Quarantine has kept many from seeing their families and loved ones. Give them a call every once in a while to check in and see how they are doing. Start a group chat on Instagram or Messages and send memes or play some fun games! Zoom is also a quick and easy way to connect with your friends and family.

Clean up
There is a lot of extra time on our hands. Why not clean up around the house? There is nothing like walking into a fresh clean house. Clean out the refrigerator, check the pantry for any old or expired food, clean out your closet. There are so many things that can be cleaned; the list is almost endless.
