North Star Senior: Steven Parson Class of 2020

In the three years Steven Parson has been a part of the North Star, he has made countless contributions to the paper. From writing for the sports page as a staffer, to becoming the sports editor and eventually an executive of the paper, Steven’s expertise and experience has allowed not only the sports page but the entire newspaper to improve. From his funny jokes to serenading birthday songs, we will miss Steven dearly.

North Star: What path do you plan on taking after graduating?
Steven Parson: I will be attending Pepperdine University.
NS: Why did you choose this route?
SP: I decided on Pepperdine because I felt like it was truly the best fit for me. With the perfect Malibu beach and strong core curriculum, Pepperdine is definitely my new home.
NS: What are you majoring in?
SP: I chose to major in Political Science (Pre-Law).
NS: Who is your favorite teacher(s) at North?
SP: It’s hard to choose just one so I’ll just say my favorites. Dr. Hollowell and Mr. Gonsalves have definitely supported me all throughout high school and for that I’m forever grateful. They’re the type of teachers that give you the life lessons you never thought you needed.
NS: What things were you involved in at North?
SP: The things I was involved in at North were United Student League, basketball, volleyball, Asian Student Union, newspaper, and Interact.
