On Oct. 30 students from the various arts programs on campus hosted a haunted theater event to raise funds for their respective programs. The event was organized and hosted by students of North’s theater program with assistance from theater teacher Anna Hightower.

Students were able to purchase tickets prior to the event and were guided through the theater which was adorned in an array of Halloween themed decorations. Student actors dressed in costumes and hid in the dark in an attempt to frighten the audience.

“The story was scary though not too scary. In the beginning my friend did run out because she was too scared,” said sophomore Alejandra Robles.

The major attraction of the event was a short interactive skit that involved a killer clown and his prisoners. After the performance the audience was chased out of the theater by the actors.

“Overall it was a fun experience and allowed us to express [ourselves] creatively in a way that we have never done before; because it was student made, we were able to see our own ideas come to life. I would absolutely do it again,” said sophomore Ian Guarneros.
